SUGAR BOWL: LSU 21, Oklahoma 14 Whatever chance college football fans had of seeing an undisputed champion fell by the wayside after this dull game. As expected, the polls have decided to split the difference, with USC and the Sugar Bowl winner, LSU, sharing the national title. Following a tradition going back to Tim Brown and Gino Torretto, Heisman Trophy winner Jason White looked awful, going 13 for 37 passing with two picks. The Sooners played the part of the exposed bully, putting up no challenge to the Bayou Bengals offensively, and went from a team described as perhaps the greatest of all time to also-rans in five weeks.
